Yukon DuraGrip Limited Slip Differential for 30-Spline GM 8.5/8.6 in 10 bolt rear axle.
The OEM G80 differential in the 99-13 Silverado/Sierra and fullsize SUV applications is notoriously weak and often one of the weakest links in the drivetrain once you begin increasing performance. The Yukon Dura Grip LSD uses serviceable clutch packs with performance friction compounds and offers considerably more strength than the OE design while still maintaining the ability to be rebuilt.
From Yukon:
"Yukon Gear & Axle Dura Grip positraction carriers offer great traction and strength, and yet are not overly aggressive for the streets. These Dura Grip positraction carriers are 4-spring, Raybestos composite, clutch-style, limited-slip carriers—with internal gears machined from forged 4320 steel with stronger teeth. Assembled in the USA, the Yukon differential carriers are rebuildable, allowing for repairs or modifications without buying a new unit."
Import Notes:
For 1999 and later applications with 30-spline axles or 1998 and earlier when converting from 28 to 30-spline axles. When used in the 1998 and earlier housing, must use special carrier bearings with 1.781 in. I.D. and 2.891 in. O.D. race
Designed for 2.73 and numerically higher ratios. Not designed to be used with synthetic oil.
